The Housekeeping Executive is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the housekeeping department, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and departmental efficiency. This role involves supervising room attendants, public area cleaners, and laundry staff while maintaining compliance with company standards and health & safety guidelines.

THE JOBSCOPE

• Supervise housekeeping operations including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house cleanliness.
• Monitor room status and coordinate with Front Office for smooth check-in/check-out processes.
• Conduct daily inspections to ensure standards of cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation are met.
• Assign tasks and schedules to housekeeping team members based on occupancy and priorities.
• Train, motivate, and support housekeeping staff to ensure high performance and service consistency.
• Handle guest complaints and requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain housekeeping supplies inventory and ensure timely requisitions.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and company policies (e.g., PPE use, chemical handling).
• Report maintenance issues to the Engineering Department and follow up on timely resolutions.
• Support the Housekeeping Manager in administrative duties including reports, rosters, and appraisals.
• Coordinate with Laundry for linen and uniform needs.
• Assist in onboarding new housekeeping staff and monitoring probation progress.

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience in housekeeping operations within the hotel or hospitality industry.
• At least 2–3 years in a supervisory or executive housekeeping role.
• Strong leadership, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and high standards for cleanliness and hygiene.
• Proficient in basic MS Office and housekeeping systems.
