Job Description

OVERVIEW

• Manage the respective utility assets which include Boiler, Chiller, Air compressor, Waste Water Treatment & Scrubber.
• Manage the factory energy consumption.
• Provide coaching and develop subordinates in respective assigned assets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• To monitor and provide guideline to all operation and M&E breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance and improvement project for all area inside Hartalega NGC utility, WTP & SST.
• To assist Sr. engineer and Manager for electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance, preventive maintenance and improvement project for Hartalega NGC Utility, WTP and Scrubber treatment premises.
• To assist Senior engineer and Manager to meet the compliance of discharge of WTP are always compliance to standard set by DOE and Hartalega NGC.
• To assist Senior engineer and Manager to meet the compliance of emission of Scrubber treatment plant are always compliance to standard set by DOE and Hartalega NGC.
• Conduct daily PMC meeting and update the findings to PMC Chairman.
• To follow up and solve any related issues highlight by team.
• To train subordinate to achieve highest efficiency and quality and to lead them to better preventive maintenance.
• To always maintain and encourage department teamwork.
• To ensure LOTO are used for all electrical isolation work.
• To lead the team and plan for annual maintenance execution work and complete on time.
• To liaise with contractor or supplier on projects/modification/improvement activities.
• To ensure all expenditure is within the budget.
• To liaise with government officer especially during the audit.
• To plan strategic plan and delivered management goals/message to the team.
• To troubleshoot machine and determined repair and modification if necessary.
• To make sure all damaged items and properly segregated for repair and disposal if beyond repair.
• Ready for on-call duty after working hours.
• To always, coach the workers under them to be always motivated and doing the right thing.
• To ensure discipline of workers to be always inline to the management direction.
• To ensure tooling and equipment for their department are in good hand.
• To ensure downtime are minimal by performing the job efficiently as per guideline in KPI.
• Always feedback to superior regarding any outstanding issues/items.
• To assist Senior Engineer and Manager to work out plan to achieve overall equipment efficiency (OEE).
• To liaise with other departments/plants for any activities related to multiple department involvement.
• To work and try his best to achieve KPl's targets are achieved for themselves and the workers under him.
• To ensure and practice self-safety and remind others on all works performed.

REQUIREMENTS

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Chemical or any Engineering field.

Work Experience:

• Minimum 2 years of working experience

Technical and Professional Knowledge:

• Good Mechanical and Electrical knowledge.
• Experience in managing big scale water treatment with physical and biological treatment will be an added advantage.
• Experience in working within the areas of boiler, chiller, air compressor maintenance & systemic maintenance will be an added advantage.

Certification / License Requirement:

• Certification of CePlETSO is an added advantage.
