Compliance Assistant
KJ Group MY (Labuan-based, HQ in Japan)

We are seeking a high-caliber and integrity-driven Compliance Assistant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for supporting compliance-related activities and ensuring adherence to regulations set by the Labuan Financial Services Authority (Labuan FSA), as well as applicable local laws, rules, and internal policies.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in liaising with Labuan FSA on compliance matters and support the effective implementation of AML/CFT policies and procedures.
• Support the review and evaluation of client onboarding documentation in line with AML, KYC, and requirements.
• Provide legal and regulatory assistance to management and internal departments on operational and compliance-related matters.
• Support the execution of day-to-day compliance monitoring activities as directed by the Head of Compliance.
• Assist in coordinating internal compliance reviews and audits to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and company policies.
• Help develop, maintain , and update compliance records, policies, and procedures.
• Participate in compliance training sessions and contribute to fostering a culture of compliance across the organization.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Management, or a relevant professional qualification.
• Minimum 1 years of working experience in compliance, preferably within the Labuan FSA regulatory framework.
• Familiarity with AML, KYC, and CFT requirements; experience in trust companies or digital financial services (DFS) is an advantage.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (other languages are an added advantage).
• Strong professional integrity, good analytical skills, a proactive learning mindset, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
