Job Title: Hairstylist

Department: Operations Department – Salon
Rate: RM 6,000 – 10,000

Location: Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Working days: 5-6 days a week

Overall Job Objectives:

The Hairstylist is responsible for providing professional hair services to clients, including haircuts, coloring, styling, and treatments. This role requires creativity, expertise in hair care, and excellent customer service skills to ensure clients leave satisfied with their experience. A strong passion for the beauty industry and staying updated on the latest trends and techniques is essential for success in this role.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Adopt to the unique, diverse and exceptional best practices of the salon
• Offer personalized hair styling recommendations based on clients' face shapes, hair textures, and desired looks.
• Performing haircuts using scissors, clippers, and razors.
• Applying color, highlights, and other coloring/styling techniques.
• Performing perming, straightening, and relaxing services.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Building positive relationships with clients and addressing concerns.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a salon setting
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Well-groomed and presentable (must blend in with the Salon’s image)
• Passion for hair and beauty
• Ability to stay up-to-date on the latest trends and techniques
• Willingness to learn and grow with the company

KEY DELIVERABLES:

• Ensure that all clients leave the salon satisfied with their hairstyle and overall experience.
• Maintain a consistent and high level of work, ensuring the delivery of professional results in every service.
• Provide a wide range of hair services (cuts, coloring, treatments, styling) at a consistently high standard.
• Achieve monthly sales targets for hair care products and additional services such as treatments or upgrades.
