POSITION : Technician B, Mechanical

REPORTING TO : Superintendent, Production

DIVISION/DEPARTMENT : Sabah Production Operations Section (PBS/O)

LOCATION : Offshore Sabah

1. KEY OBJECTIVES

• Limited supervision to perform all mechanical maintenance activities on the platform/plant and provide secondary support in other skill areas as required.
• Able to diagnose of machinery and equipment faults.
• Perform all routine and corrective maintenance on process, utility, marine systems equipment including safety and emergency response machinery.
• To participate in Emergency Response.

2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Responsible for routine and breakdown maintenance and pro-active to improve plant, machinery reliability and performance.
• Understand Piping class and PNID as a reference tools (Vessel, PSV, gasket, bolting identification).
• Perform PSV removal & testing procedure / requirement, online greasing Calm Buoy PM and floating hose change out. Perform and understanding of bolting procedure. Participate on shaft and pulley alignment to the acceptable limit.
• Understand in precision measuring tools usage and storage. Pump – bearing and mechanical seal replacement and PM tasks (participate).
• Compressor – understand of working principle and troubleshooting, able to identify parts for ordering, PM (participate).
• Gas & diesel engine – understand of working principle and troubleshooting, able to identify parts for ordering, PM (Participate).
• Crane – wire rope inspection and maintenance, hydraulic system, load test, trouble shooting of entire package.
• Air fin cooler – belting, bearing, pulley, fan blade repair/change out. Comply with HSE Management system by demonstrating high standard of housekeeping and safe work practices. To fulfill a specified role during plant upset and emergency.

3. KEY AUTHORITIES

• Authority and work as directed by Supervisor. Participate in onshore/offshore commissioning as part of an integrated team with the contractor.
• Perform, and ensure the assigned maintenance tasks on plant and equipment to maximize production and plant / equipment availability.
• Responsible as SAP work requestor. Responsible for signing & acknowledge the Vendor report and time sheet.
• Able to produce troubleshooting and repair report.

4. HSE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Comply with personal and corporate HSE & regulatory.
• Participate in safety meetings, risks assessments, regular musters, drills and exercises as directed
• Participate in area safety inspections of plant, equipment, machinery and process. Follow up with action plan.
• Work towards Permit to Work System compliance
• Report all unsafe acts, unsafe conditions, accidents, incidents and near misses to Supervisor immediately.

• A Certificate or a Diploma qualification in Mechanical Engineering or relevant technical experience
• Demonstrate behavior and capability attain continuous competency TG2 level in maintenance mechanical engineering.
• Understand and compliance with any applicable regulation and policies, e.g. PPGUA and MMIG.
• Experience in computer-based maintenance management systems. Computer literate like MS Word or Microsoft Office.
• Fluency in English, both spoken and written, is desirable.
• 5 years’ experience as a mechanical maintenance technician in a hydrocarbon process plant environment of which at least 5 years will have been on offshore/onshore installations. Previous work on drilling rigs or semi-subs would advantageous.
• Added advantages if possess the DOSH ICE Driver Grade 1 or 2.
